.AU domain names come with registration certificates, that are issued by your domain registrar when the domain name has been registered. The Registrant of the domain will be emailed a copy of the certificate when the domain name is registered. If you lose your certificate, we can provide a new one to you.
Please keep the following in mind when it comes to registration certificates for .AU domain names:
- A registration certificate can only be issued/provided by the company you registered the domain name with. If you transfer the domain name to another registrar, your new registrar cannot provide a registration certificate.
- Registration certificates are not proof of ownership of a domain name.

Can I Get a Certificate of Registration for My Domain Name?
If you register a .AU domain, a registration certificate will be issued by your domain registrar. This certificate confirms that your domain has been successfully registered. Once the registration is complete, the registrant (domain owner) will receive a copy via email.
Lost Your Certificate?
If you misplace your registration certificate, your registrar can provide a replacement upon request.
Important Notes About .AU Domain Registration Certificates:
-
A registration certificate can only be issued by the registrar where the domain was originally registered. If you transfer your domain to another registrar, your new provider cannot issue a replacement certificate.
-
Registration certificates do not serve as proof of domain ownership—they simply confirm the registration process.
